AN ANALYSIS OF CASES IN 2023

In 2023, the Office of the Ombudsperson managed 538 cases and met with 615 members of the ADB Community, addressing approximately 1,782 issues, which is slightly less than in 2022.

The top areas of concern were consistent with previous years: group climate, supervision, and stress—specifically, work-life balance. These areas are interconnected and crucial to ADB’s organizational health.

The narratives were developed from data and other findings that the Office of the Ombudsperson collated to identify emerging trends and patterns of concern in 2023.
